It is with great pleasure Takapuna Boating Club and the New Zealand Finn Association will be hosting the 2015 Finn Gold Cup from 21st to 29th November 2015 at Takapuna Auckland New Zealand. This regatta will be proceeded by an open Pre-Gold Cup event from 17th – 19th November 2015.

For all sailors, the event promises to provide  a world class sailing venue, highly skilled race management, and a location that offers a wealth of entertainment  when off the water and for your wider family.

Takapuna Boating Club welcomes Finn Sailors from all over the world to this event. Being the second qualifying regatta for the Rio Olympics in 2016 we expect a large number of competitors to attend and the competition to be fierce for the available places. During November competitors will sail in either predominant westerly winds or sea breezes of 12 to 15 knots. Combined with warm late spring weather will provide excellent sailing conditions for all competitors.

For those attending the Gold Cup from the Northern Hemisphere we suggest you escape the cold European winter and extend your stay to train in New Zealand during our summer before going on to either Miami or Rio in the New Year. We’ll make you feel welcome.
